Group and team charter

In short

How do you charter a jet for a large group?

Above roughly sixteen passengers the aircraft stops being a business jet and becomes a VIP airliner — an ACJ319, a BBJ or an Embraer Lineage, carrying eighteen to fifty people in a private configuration. Below that, a heavy jet or two coordinated aircraft usually works out cheaper than one airliner. The deciding factor is rarely seat count; it is equipment volume.

01How it works

Arranging group and team charter

Baggage decides the aircraft

A football squad travels with kit, medical equipment and sometimes its own catering. A film crew travels with cases that are heavy rather than bulky, and often with items that need declaring. Send the equipment list with the passenger count — on group charters it changes the answer more often than the number of people does, and getting it wrong at the aircraft is expensive.

One aircraft or two

Twenty passengers can fly on one VIP airliner or two heavy jets. Two aircraft are frequently cheaper, land at more airports and reduce the consequence of a technical problem, but they double the ground coordination and the group arrives in two pieces. We will price both rather than assume which you want.

Catering and cabin service

On a group flight the cabin crew ratio matters more than on a private jet with four people aboard. A VIP airliner carrying thirty passengers typically has two or three attendants; a heavy jet carrying twelve has one. That determines what service is realistic: a full meal service for thirty on a two-hour sector is not, and a competent operator will say so rather than promise it. Catering is ordered from the departure airport's supplier and is included in the quote at the level you specify. For teams and crews the practical request is usually volume rather than refinement — enough for everybody, available throughout, and something that survives being eaten at altitude. Dietary requirements should come with the manifest rather than on the day, because at group scale they change the order rather than adjust it.

02Constraints

Worth knowing before you ask

  • VIP airliners need longer runways and are excluded from some business-aviation fields.

  • Teterboro caps take-off weight at 100,000 lb, which rules airliners out of that airport.

  • Large groups need passenger manifests earlier than small ones for permits.

04Your part

What to send with the request

Every service has two or three details that change the answer entirely. Including them in the first message turns one exchange into a quote instead of four.

The equipment list
Not just the passenger count. Kit, medical bags, instruments, camera cases — on group charters this changes the aircraft more often than the number of people does.
Whether the group can split
Twenty passengers can fly on one VIP airliner or two heavy jets. Two aircraft are frequently cheaper and land at more airports, but the group arrives in two pieces.
The passenger manifest timing
Large groups need names, dates of birth and passport details earlier than small ones, because permits depend on them. Tell us when you will realistically have the list.

05Before you pay

What we commit to on every booking

We have no completed flights to point at yet, and we are not going to invent any. What we can do is put the terms in writing before you ask for them.

What we commit to

  1. Nothing is charged before the aircraft is confirmed.

You receive the operating carrier’s legal name, its AOC number and the aircraft registration in writing before any invoice or wallet address is issued. If those three things are not in front of you, you have not been asked to pay yet.

  2. One commission, inside the price you were quoted.

Our margin is already in the number you agreed to. There is no second invoice, no booking fee added at the end, and no separate charge for arranging the flight. If the total moves after you have accepted it, the reason is a change you asked for.

  3. No surcharge on any payment method, including cryptocurrency.

Card, bank transfer, USDT, Bitcoin and cash settle at the same price. We do not price crypto as a premium service, and we do not discount it to move you onto a rail that is harder to reverse.

  4. If the operator cancels, you choose the remedy — not us.

Aircraft go technical and operators occasionally fail. When that happens before departure you are offered a replacement aircraft on equivalent terms or a full refund, and the choice between them is yours. We do not get to decide that a substitute was good enough.

These form part of our terms of business. If any of them changes, the change is dated there rather than made quietly here.

Route, date and how many people is enough to start. Anything specific to this service — an animal, an equipment list, a medical report — can follow in the same thread.

Questions

Can you move a large group — a team, a crew, a wedding party?
Yes. Above roughly 16 passengers the aircraft moves from a business jet to a VIP airliner such as an ACJ319 or a BBJ, which carry 18 to 50 people in a private configuration. For a sports team or a film crew the deciding factor is usually baggage and equipment volume rather than seat count, so send the equipment list with the request.
How much luggage can I take?
Baggage is limited by volume, not by piece count — around 50 cubic feet on a light jet and 115 on a heavy jet. Skis, golf bags and oversized cases are fine but must be declared when you request the quote, because they can change which aircraft works. Weight matters on long legs: a full cabin plus heavy baggage can shorten range enough to add a fuel stop.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Four to six hours is usually enough for a domestic or intra-European leg if an aircraft is already positioned nearby. Intercontinental flights need longer for crew duty time, overflight and landing permits. The genuine constraints are seasonal: Nice and Ibiza in July, Geneva in ski season, and Riyadh at any time because of permit lead times.
How do you check that an operator is safe?
Every flight is operated by a company holding a valid air operator certificate in its own jurisdiction. We check that certificate, the operator’s insurance cover, and its third-party safety rating — ARGUS, Wyvern or IS-BAO — before offering the aircraft, and we show you the operator name and rating before you pay so you can verify it yourself.
