Getting into the city
Twelve miles from Midtown through the Lincoln Tunnel: twenty-five minutes at three in the afternoon, fifty at six in the evening, and genuinely unpredictable either side of the Hudson crossings. Downtown and Brooklyn are worse. The helicopter to the Manhattan heliports takes eight minutes and, at rush hour, saves more time than any other transfer in this list. For Connecticut and Westchester, Westchester County Airport is often the better arrival.
